Hello neighbors! 🌺 We need a few friendly faces to be Garden Docents for the 19th Annual Open Garden Day on Saturday, May 9th (and yes, a free ticket is included!).
Our 100% volunteer-run committee is looking for community members to help us welcome guests to our beautiful neighborhoods. Our attendees constantly rave about how helpful our docents are, and it’s a fun, low-stress way to give back!
What does a docent do? It’s very easy! You’ll be stationed at one of our featured gardens to:
👋 Warmly greet visitors
🌷 Share a few fun facts about the garden (we provide all the info directly from the homeowners!)
🔢 Keep a tally of visitors with a provided click-counter
🕒 Our Biggest Need: The Afternoon Shift
We are currently trying to fill our 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM afternoon slots. (Though if you prefer the morning shift from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, we have spots there too!)
🎁 The Best Perk:
As a huge “thank you” for volunteering, all docents get free access to tour and enjoy the rest of the gardens before or after their shift!
